Description of the Assignment:

Under the supervision of the Gender Policy Specialist on Ending Violence against Women and Girls at RBLAC and the Caribbean Regional Spotlight Coordinator, the consultant will deliver as per below:

  1. Support the implementation of UNDP’s component of the Spotlight Regional Joint Programme in the Caribbean according to the Project Document (PRODOC) and the annual work plan.
  2. Assist in liaising with both national regional partners and counterparts, Recipient United Nations Organizations (RUNOs) and Associated Agencies (AAs), Spotlight Secretariat, donors, and implementing partners (IPs) to ensure UNDP’s components of both the national and regional programme results are achieved, and resources are managed.
  3. Participate in the organization of meetings, both virtual and in-person, of the Regional Programme including Consultative Committees, UN Steering Committees, and Spotlight Technical Coordination teams, project review and/or evaluation meetings with inputs from RUNOs and support from the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office.
  4. Draft/support the preparation and presentation of consolidated work plans, periodic narrative progress reports and expenditures status reports to the Steering Committee, Regional Civil Society Reference Group, Spotlight Secretariat, EU, RUNOs, AAs.
  5. Maintain up-to-date files and records of programme documentation.
  6. Provide logistical support for workshops and other meetings as tasked by the supervisors.
  7.   Support the execution of virtual and in-person regional workshops and meetings including UNDP’s planned Knowledge Fair in 2023. This includes providing administration and logistical support as needed to UNDP’s team.
  8.  Provide support, either technical, administrative, or logistical, to all activities according to the requirements of the project.

The consultant will be expected to work collaboratively with intergovernmental regional institutions, UN agencies, academic institutions, and Civil Society Organizations.
